Stylish Baby Pant with Pocket Easy Cutting & Stitching

This tutorial is beginner-friendly, and I’ll guide you step by step, from fabric cutting to stitching a perfectly fitting pant with an elastic waist and side pocket. Let’s get started!

✔️ Cotton Fabric – Soft and breathable for comfort
✔️ Elastic Band – For a snug waistband
✔️ Fabric Scissors – For precise cutting
✔️ Sewing Machine & Thread – For stitching
✔️ Measuring Tape & Chalk – For accurate marking
✔️ Pins – To secure fabric while stitching
✔️ Iron – For smooth seams and finishing

1️⃣ Cutting the Fabric:

• Fold the fabric and mark the pant measurements (waist, length, crotch, and leg width).
• Cut two identical pant leg pieces and a separate pocket piece.

2️⃣ Preparing the Pocket:

• Take the pocket piece and fold the edges neatly.
• Attach it to one side of the pant using a top stitch for durability.

3️⃣ Stitching the Pant:

• Join the front and back pieces by stitching the crotch area first.
• Stitch the side seams while ensuring the pocket stays in place.
• Sew the inner leg seams for proper shaping.

4️⃣ Adding the Waistband & Hemming:

• Fold and stitch the waistband, leaving a small gap to insert the elastic.
• Insert the elastic band, adjust the fit, and close the gap with a final stitch.
• Hem the bottom of the pant legs for a clean finish.
